If your radiator fan on your van is similar to the one on a Jetta, this is not a water hose connection, but rather a place where a "cooling air" tube should be affixed. On the Jetta, the tube runs to in front of the radiator on the drivers side, and supplies cool air to the innards of the electric fan motor. If you decide to route your coolant through this, keep us posted. :) G.
