hey everyone, As all of us east coasters know as the mercury drops and snow starts to fly, it time for the town salt/sand trucks to wage war on our beloved vans. Back in nov. i bought a 90 westy and decied to keep my 88 gl....at least for the winter and drive it while the westy lies dormant away from corrosion!!! As of now it is just sitting in my garage over a cement floor after i changed the oil, gave it a new cap and rotor, and some of that dry gas (not a full bottle), and injector cleaner. It has been sitting for about a month and a half (temp up her in vt has been crazy its been as high as 60 and as low as about 9 deg), started it once and she fired right up. my questions are...is there anything else/more i can do to ensure that she/he sleeps quietly and wake up with a fire in its eye. I plan on covering the cement floor with one of those camping tarps to try and prevent some of the moisture build up which i have already notice on its belly. Or would it be better to keep it outside on the side of the house over the lawn. any sugg/comm will help thanks jon 88 gl 90 westi |
