Austin, Main tank (16 US gallons) and auxiliary (10 US gallons). Auxiliary tank is mounted beneath the passenger side sliding door. Essentially covers the area from the frame rail to the outer edge, goes from front tire well edge to the rear frame brace ahead of the rear tire well. Made of Aluminum, it connects to the main tank through a 1 inch diameter pipe welded to the main tank. I purchased it from a company in San Diego in 1983 . This was on the occasion of the gas crisis and was good for a 700 + mile range during my diesel powered days. Detailed measurements are posted in the archives. Frank Grunthaner |
