There are 17.5 liters of 100 deg coolant in the system (dunno how much is trapped in the radiator) and that constitutes a considerable amount of heat storage. Right now, if I let the cabin heater blower work, it cools the coolant in the heater radiator quite fast because it's stored capacity is small. 2. I plan to possibly heat the coolant EXTERNALY (with a stove/burner) after it cools down, using the builtin heat exchanger and blower (instead of installing another set of my own) to distribute the heat. I'd try to avoid an in-vehicle heating system (e.g. catalytic) if possible. My main worry is the heater blower's current consumption (I guess it should be about 5A. Anyone has actuall data?).
