Subject: Praise to the List! Van alive again

Thank you to everyone who helped me in getting my van going again. Doktor Tim was right with his diagnosis of a bad ignition control module. I was able to find one at my local Auto Zone this morning. It was a Wells brand as were the cap and rotor I also bought. Not Bosch, but apparently effective for now. It appears that the contributing causes of death to the ignition control module were: (1) the last one had been installed without the thermal grease to make good contact with the heat sink; and (2) the terminals on the distributor end of the high tension wires were barely attached. I had to redo three of the five before putting the new cap in. It is definitely time for a top quality set of wires.

Once I got the new parts in, the van started right up albeit with a boost from the battery on my '98 Montana.

Thank you again.
