I am trying to do things by the book here, but I'm a bit perplex . VIQ is a 1.9 '84. Motor was out, now back in. Coolant system is flushed and it's time to add coolant as per the books/list. The manuals say to add, then idle fast, jack, add, etc. It is also recommended by most to run the motor for 20 min at FIRST startup for breakin/ valves to quiet down, etc. If I run the motor for twenty min, I have not bled and added coolant as instructed. Also, my air cooled experience tells me that the motor doesn't always run great immediately after install-maybe timing not perfect or a vac line dc'd, etc. Where to go from this point? Id hate to run for 20 min without the proper amount of coolant and with perhaps an air bubble, that is IF the motor will in fact run decent for 20 min on first startup. (note this motor is not new, only one head is.) Thanks for letting me tap your more experienced brains! Jay
