"The devil you know or the devil you don't know"?

Alan, we're facing this question right now. Our '86 Syncro Westfalia still has the original wasserboxer and while it is weak and stressed in this heavy vehicle, we know it well and have the List to help us when needed. We are currently thinking of buying a '86 Syncro Double Cab Pickup truck with the Kennedy Subaru conversion and while it is a stronger more durable engine, we know diddlysquat about it and have no List (yet) to support us. Frankly, after much contemplation, the truck would be worth more to us if it still had the original engine.
