Hi Ken et al., it's Air Flow Controlled referring to the fact that the air sucked in by the engine gets metered and the corresponding amount of fuel injected. The 80-83 air-cooleds are called AFC even though the above fuel injection principle is the same for the watercooleds. Their fuel injection control unit is slightly different and called digijet (83-85) and digifant (from 86 - don't ask me how the (ele?)fant came into this - or is it from 'fantastic'?). Hope I didn't use a new abbreviation and Happy New Year, Michael, Germany 80 Westy (AFC) 86 GL (digifant)
