My '82 had an '86 Jetta Diesel installed in November.  Beautiful results so
far.  My mechanic did the work, but as far as I understand, it pretty much
bolts right up.  I'm sure there is a better source on the list for specifics
though.

BTW,  A really great mechanic if you are ever in need in the area.  DON'T ask
him to put a Subaru or Toyota Engine in your VW.  He may drop whatever is on
the lift on top of you.
