Doktor Tim,

I was hoping that you were lurking out there instead of watching the bowl games. A couple of dumb questions, however. By ignition control module, are you referring to what is listed on Page 97.55 of Bentley as "TRNSTR IGN CNTRL UNIT" If so, is this the same little box that has the word "Fairchild" on it along with the following numbers, "8346 33" and "211905331 TZ1" on it? If so, would it likely be available at my friendly local import parts store or my unfriendly local VW dealer? I know I can get the cap and rotor locally.
