To all who responded to my cries for help, I
appreciate it.  Turns out it is the alternator-I found
a guy who has remanufactured bosch oem-will pick up
tomorrow and install.  For anybody in the Denver area,
I met a real neat guy who works only on vanagons.  He
doesn't advertise and specializes in engine
conversions.  He seems to be honest and reasonable and
has TONS of used and remanufactured parts.  He also
does custom machine work.  If tou are in the area and
are looking for someone decent to work on your
vehicle.p-mail me.
