Thanks for posting this. Some very interesting stuff here, especially on the message board, about isocyanates, which POR 15 contains. I know a lot of folks use this stuff, maybe more folks on the type2 list than the Vanagon list, but I've been banned from posting on the type2 list for going off topic, so I'll post this here. There are two products out there ( OK,more than two, but I think these are the most popular) that convert rust, POR 15 and Corroless. I've used both, and both have worked very well. After 2 1/2 years, rust I've treated with either product has not returned, so in that respect I can't say one is better than the other. However, I did notice after using POR 15 I'd get a headache, and the label does warn it contains isocyanates. Corroless on the other hand does not. POR 15 also has a very strong odor, which Corroless does not. Given that both work equally well, I think I'll stick to using the Corroless from now on. Also, look for the message about mixing hardener in paint. Two years ago when I painted my Westy myself, I bought hardener to mix with the paint, but after reading the precautions on the can I decided not to use it. BE SAFE! Jeff S.
