Forget the horses, this baby got torque! (I expect they are talking about the TDI, haven't checked it yet) The 2,5 gas has maximum torque of 190 Nm (140 lbs-ft) @ 2200 rpm, the VR6 240 Nm (177 lbs-ft) @ 3200 while the TDI has 250 Nm (185 lbs-ft) @ 1900 rpm. Once you hit 50 kmh (30 mph) you can just put in 5th and go on the rest of the day, with out changing gears!

What if they put in the new 150 hp TDI??? Well, it's got 295 Nm (218 lbs-ft) @ 1900 rpm, that is V8 territory!
