When the cap blew on the distribution unit and was replace by a ketsup
lid, I switched to a "bad" zero pressure cap that was along as a spare.
The cooling system operated normally for the next 1000 miles of cool
weather driving, suggesting coolant pressure is not critical in a cool
environment.   However, as has been discussed before, it is a critical
monitoring variable and I'm about to install a coolant pressure gauge.
