Oceano, down on the central coast [near San Luis Obispo] is way cool. You drive right out on the beach and camp on the sand. Be darn careful you're above high tide and hope that the nice guy with the only Mercedes G wagen I've ever seen is there to pull you out if you get stuck in the sand cause you don't have a clue how to drive in sand, not that that ever happened to me, of course.
