Hi Richard,
Piece of cake The syncro transaxle input shaft used in our vans is very
similar to the bus 091 and 002 transaxle. Since you have the engine pulled
just drain the oil pull the bellhousing, you will find about the same
setup. Circlip that hold the sleeve in place on the input shaft must have
come loose and slid toward the engine during hard acceleration. (^_^)
smile.....
If you need a new bell housing gasket napa has bulk gasket material
that works well if you want to make your own. You might consider installing
a new input shaft seal.
