David, I liked your breakdown and analysis of the various motor possibilities. That was very helpful.

My questions: What motor is used in the Eurovan? (except the VR-6, I know about it)

I drove a '93 model Eurovan a few months ago and I thought it had excellent power. I understood it was a five cylinder. That engine in my van would be superb. I don't need an engine now, but one day it could happen, as we all know.

What are the details on this engine? Is it the same as an Audi engine of some description? Interchangeable aspects with vanagons?

What do you or anyone else know about a conversion using this engine?
