Yes, unleaded is wideliy available in Mexico. It's especially common in Baja, since so many gringos (and Canadians) travel there, and the Yanks and Canucks need unleaded. You should have no problems finding unleaded throughout Baja.

Just don't run the tank too low with the anticipation of a fill later down the road. It is not uncommon for gas stations to be out of fuel, or even for stations shown on maps to be closed entirely. Speaking of maps, AAA of Southern California distributes an excellent and detailed folding driving map of Baja, with BCN on one side, BCS on the other. The map has accurate driving distances, shows less-travelled (dirt) roads (for access to those inviting remote beaches), and gas station locations. But like I said, don't count on stations having gas or even still being there.

>Apparently they have Magna Sin and Nova?

Yes. Magna sin is unleaded.

>What are the grades of gasoline, leaded, Unleaded, octane rating etc?

Can't recall exactly, but Mex unleaded is comparable to regular unleaded in US and Canada.

Hope this helps!
