I have to agree with Ron here. Having dealt with AVP nearly a year ago on my 77 air-cooled, I can't say enough about their service, quality, helpfulness, etc. Months later I bought my 84 and had to drop the motor for some work. It turned into lots of preventative stuff also and AVP gave me honest recommendations on it. They mailed me hard to find hardware, seals, studs, etc and were quick to tell me to check Ron's price on some items. They have gone to a junkyard to get me a needed part on occasion. This was not necessarily in their own interest, but was SO helpful to me. I am grateful that they shared their experience with me. I feel I would never be "taken" by them. Bottom line, AVP saved me time, money, and a few headaches that only experience can guide you away from. I recommend them without reservation as do many. Bob Donalds must be the real mccoy of the eastern seaboard from what I read. I would trust either, and I'd do the install myself and replace all the ancillaries I could afford to. My anecdotal cent-and-a-half(others mileage is similar) Jay Schmidt, the sore thumb of GM country Seymour IN PS: BTW, 12000 trouble free miles on the 77 AVP rebuild this year!
