I am replacing the engine in this vehicle. When I tried to remove the engine, the input shaft came part way out of the transaxle. I have rebuilt many air cooled transaxles and I know that they have a two piece input shaft held together by a stud and sleeve. Does this transaxle have the same set up, and can I do the repair without taking the transaxle out and completely apart? I have no manuals and there is no dealer within 300 miles. Thanks in advance.
