Since I am only 180 cm tall (5'10"), I cant say I know the clutch problem. But
even with my humble height, I thought the steering wheel was way too big the
first time I drove the van. Easy fix, I installed a GTI wheel from an 82 Golf.
It blocks the top of the gauges, but I see where the needle is pointing. I have
to duck my head a bit to see the two top indicator lights, it can be a bit
uncomfortable for oncoming traffic when I forget to turn off the highs. So, a
GTI or Golf/Jetta wheel from the 80s will fit, but you should maybe try it on
and see if you can use it.
