If anyone else has sticker shock over the $34 price on a strap to hold up their muffler, consider this: I had a brand new exhaust strap for a late loaf sitting around and it was a little big ie too long. It can be cut and sized to the (84) vanagon muffler easily and then the "T" end welded back on. The price on a new loaf muffler strap is $7.95 and this is tons better than using hangers. FWIW. Also thanks to the list over the past few months, my 84 westy is officially on the road. Runs well, quiet, feels good on the road. Jay Schmidt Seymour IN 84 Westy 77 Westy 71 highroof
