Hi all,

We are (unexpectedly) expecting our third child in March and need a single middle seat for our Westy to accommodate the new arrival. I've seen the two passenger middle seat but it seems awkward for camping. I've also seen a rear facing jump seat mounted behind the passenger seat in some later Vanagons that looks convenient space-wise, but it doesn't look as safe and comfortable as the single pedestal middle seat.

Any feedback on these options will be greatly appreciated.

------------------------------ Hi Scott Go for the single pedestal midle seat. Easy to install and remove and can be used as a outside seat while camping (you may want to cover/protect it by covering it with a blanket though). you can even install a headrest on it.Bonus: lockable storage box underneath, swivel seat (pedestal ???) and adjustable armrests. I had 2...kept one, sold the other one. PS The bed can be used without removing the seat...very practical for one-night camping when both beds are needed and it's raining and dark outside...With my Paulchen rack, one of the best buy buy I made.
