Reminds me of the '74 Land Rover I drove in the Army. It seemed that when the engineers at LR made a mirror image of the dashboard to suit normal driving practice, they also did the steering column. That bl00dy vehicle had the ignition switch on the left, and turn signal switch on the right! Where's the sense in that? Luckily, they kept the traditional setup on the pedals!

That LR was a true dog to drive, with a full 75 hp to haul 2 tons, it had a top speed of 100 km/h, and needed 5 minutes to get there.
