Subject: speedo/tach differences between '84-'86????????
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"

i have a speedo cluster from a '84 wolfsburg edition vanagon, with the tach/dig clock. i know the speedo cluster is different from the '86-'91 one (or do the '84 wolfys and the '85 vanagons have the same speedo cluster??) someone told me the difference, but i dont remember. i think the '86 up (or '85 up?) has the printed circuitboard ribbon going to the speedo, wheras the '84 doesnt. anyone know? i had sold a '84 wolfy tach/dig clock speedo cluster to a guy w/ a '88 van awhile back, and it wouldnt work in his van......

whats the difference? TIA- chris
