Chris,

I am not sure about the circuit board ribbon.  I have however, observed at
least 3 different speedometers in 84's.  Two of them have shift points
marked but at different speeds.  I think that it may be a difference between
a GL and a non GL.  Perhaps the differential ratio is different between the
two.  The third speedometer I have seen in an 84 has no shift marks on it at
all.  Perhaps it is a replacement that was supposed to go into a model with
a tachometer.
