Subject: Re: Coleman DuraCat heater

Well, with temp. dipping into the teen's (faharenheit) here, I happened to be in Home Depot and saw piles of Coleman DuraCat heaters. Big sign said $49.99. But it seems they are substituting the Coleman for someother cat. heater that normally sells for $39.99. Therefore I got one of these Coleman heaters for 39.99. I've seen this heater on the internet for 59.99. 3,000 BTU's.

It does stink even after a couple hours. To me the smell is similar to very strong dust on an electric baseboard heater smell. I used it this morning in my westy driving to work. Certainly took the chill off. In the half hour driving to work it put out a fair amount of moisture as witnessed on the inside windows. This is definitely no substitute for say a carver heater or some other vented heater, but in a pinch means the difference between being cold and being not cold. Just don't use this while sleeping, and always have a source of fresh air.

Next summer I must do the Bulley insulation.

ps- the pavanagon breakfast was fun, look forward to the next one. Brendan, sorry to hear of your engine problem. Should have called the diner, we would of all come over and at least lent moral support.
