Someone is selling an 1987 Westfalia Weekender Wolfsburg edition with a cream interior. I have not seen the van yet but it is described as having the cream interior of a weekender camper with no frige or stove. I have recently learned that the cream interior was discontinued after 1986 and that all 87 and up should be gray. I also never heard of a 87 weekender version. I think the weekender was available only in 86 and 1990-91. They VIN number shows it also to be a full camper not a weekender. VIN number is WV2ZB0256HH049356. Is there a place to check the VIN numbers to either find out what equipment this van should have or to check the history of the camper? Anyone else heard of this camper configuration to have existed? Could this be a stolen 86 with a switched VIN and paperwork to show it as an 87? Sorin |
