Just purchased an 87 GL full camper westie. Light blue metallic Canadian version. Immaculate interior. Doesn't even look used, seats are showroom firm. No oil or wasser leaks, good power, more that my syncro had anyway and it'd do 79 on a calm day. Paid $4700 not a great bargain but not bad. Problems: temp instrument doesn't move off cold. leaking regulator on LP tank (Kyle suggests rv place, thanks to Kyle at Volkscafe) front heater fan doesn't turn on (Kyle suggests trading rear switch to check) Water pump appears not to work for the sink. Other than that it appears to be in excellent shape, now I'll check the fuses and test the above but if anyone has any sugestions on what might be wrong or how to test solve these problems please email me. I additon I plan to travel west this summer and any other things I should check? AAA of course.
