On Saturday I was accelerating to enter traffic on the freeway when this loud clanging sound started. It terrified my daughter. I wanted to stop the van immediately, but I continued on to get off the freeway at the next exit. I noticed that the sound went away when braking or accelerating quickly, so I was able to limp home by racing and braking. Can anyone confirm that this is a CV joint gone bad and if so any tips on fixing it. If not a CV joint then what? TIA, John-Reed Maffeo '86 Syncro - Glacie. |
