A rap concert in Oakland attended by a crowd of 11,000 was cut short on Friday night when a melee erupted, police said. Police responded to a report of a tumult, and encountered a hubbub, which they quickly upgraded to a brouhaha before being officially declaring it a melee. British pharmaceutical heavyweights Glaxo Wellcome PLC and SmithKline Beecham PLC have reached agreement to merge, forming the world's largest drugmaker. The second largest drugmaker is known simply as "The Guys in Grateful Dead Vanagon License Plate # CVX-0445."
