The mileage sounds high, were the heads rebuilt with new springs or valve guides?

If not the extra lift could increase the wear on the parts or cause a spring to break because of added stress from the increased lift or the engine taken to higher revs because of the added power.

If it were me, I would not put them on and try other ways to increase power before the rockers.

Bosch Quad tip platinum plugs Free flow muffler K&N air filter No vacuum leaks Regulator working OK Synthetic oil All FI parts working correctly New O2 sensor if yours in has more than 60,000 miles good working injectors - PLUS FUEL LINE IS GOOD NO FIRES WANTED!!

(Personally, I would have rebuilt the engine with that much mileage)

The chip will have an effect on the FI system, Many Golf, Jetta and others have chips that do INCREASE the power.

I would not add the chips and rockers unless the bottom end is freshened up to prevent a possible failure.

That is why I added a lot of parts to prevent failures

Robert
