To all those with cool or luke warm air coming out of your vents. This is what to do as long as your engine is running fine and make sure the thrermostat is working etc . A couple years back i made a pair of smart looking covers for both grills on my 84 vanagon . I went to a fabric place and got marine vynl, black in color and bought stainless snaps . Put 1 in each corner on the grill ,predrill pilot hole in grill, screw in male snap , then install female snap in each corner of vynl with punch that comes with snap kit .vynl is man made will not rot , i live in n.j. winter is not to cold .I only use covers when it is under 40 degrees, so you dont overheat, this is well proven to me,i have hot excellent heat for the past couple of years no problems . For those with chilly vanagons do this now.
