This wasn't exactly the same as that the EV is cheaper than the US cars, it is the fact that the taxes are wayyy bigger on US cars here, as they tend to have bigger engines. The cheapest EV you an get here is a Transporter 1,9D with 68 hp for $22500. Then you get a panelvan with three seats up front. A Caravelle will start at $32500, just as the Caravan. Different tax classes make them so cheap. A Caravelle station wagon will cost $70000, just as the Caravan or Astro.
