  Dear list,
  Today I noticed that my van was running real rough at low RPMs so I was
getting kind of worried. Seeing how today was a beautiful winter day in
Montana, I decided to see what the problem was.  I started searching for
clues, I took of the dizzy cap for a look.  To my horror I have never seen a
cap look so bad.  There was so much crud built up that I don't even know how
the van was even running.  I did a little surgery and grinded all the build
up off, put a new rotor(from my 72 stash)..man did it make a difference..not
a permanent fix but it will hold out till the weekend..it got me thinking of
how much time I spend fixing the 72 and how I kind of ignore the vanagon.  I
change the oil, but tune ups are few and far between.  The vanagon really
runs good and I kind of take that for granted. I guess I need to pay a
little more attention to the 85..i'm really cant believe I let the dizzy cap
get that bad...sorry, I just felt like I needed to confess.
