Having seen a fellow listee saying that Robert's upgrades are BS, I felt I outta chime in.

Having personally inspected Lilley's work, and having ridden in his van, I can tell you it is noticeably faster, smoother, and has an obviously wider torque band than a stock van. In my opinion, his upgrades make more sense than a Suburu conversion. The ceramic coatings are the only part that I retain a "wait & see" attitude about, as ceramic engine coatings are still a bit fresh for my tastes.

Robert-- I do think that curb-feelers, neon undervan lights, and a velvet dash would add a nice touch, though. :)

<<<Keep in mind My original 1986 2wd lasted 147,000 mile and never ever saw a rebuild. Was beat to death, but change the oil every 3,000 miles. >>>

Mine should last twice that...BUT without head problems...

<<<85 MPH for hours at a time, in OH. >>>

BUT it took you HOW LONG to get there?? 1 to 3 minutes...

<<<R.L. has nouthing to gain with what he has done.>>>

What I have done is some eliminate the problem areas for the Wasserboxer engine (cooling problems, head corrosion, rocker arm clip breakage, harmonic problems), gave it some needed power, increase MPG and INCREASED reliability.

<<< Bunch of B.S. if you ak me!>>>

It is not and...

Well, I DID NOT ask you! Enjoy your van as traffic passes you by, it no longer passes me, I pass it...going up hill from 50mph in fifth to 65 mph around it...

Robert
