Since I do have an 82 air-cooled cal model with electronic ignition, let me say this blunt. Points suck! Nothing but a pain. And troubleshooting the system is easy. The Bentley has a great troubleshooting guide for those of us with the cal model air-cooled vanagon. If you have electronic ignition, why go back in time???
