Subject: Diesel temp gage
Content-Type: text/plain

Well I finally have the Diesel Westy running and on the road:) I put in a new thermostat yesterday and bled the system but I am still running warm. The gage reads just past the little light which is approximatly 65%. This is still in the ok area but its a Diesel and I expected it to run cooler especially in the recent cold CT weather.

I am wonder if it could be more air in the system, perhaps too much water in the mixture? or if the sending unit for the tempeture gage is broken.

Does anyone know if these sending units go as easily as the watercooled VW's?

Thank you for inforamtion
