Miles (as in 321,000) my 86 westy is in line for a new mill. I saw someone address this issue a while back but did anybody try it? I realize it is still a fossil fuel, but it seems to compare favorably in cost and efficiency. And the stuff that comes out of the tail pipe is much nicer too (still greenhouse gases though). From what I've read, you change the fuel system to a "carburetor" of sorts (no more digifant). Shoot for that matter why not go subaru with much fewer restrictions. Seems like I saw a propane powered subaru somewhere. I wonder how CARB would deal with this. Biggest problem seems to be a fuel tank that fits under the van. Anybody been there done that?

Walter Gomes Miles (as in waay too many) 86' westy
