Hi Dave,

I didn't see the Temp II Sensor on your list of items replaced. I had similar symptoms on my '87 Westy awhile back which ultimately were attributable to a intermittently malfunctioning Temp II Sensor causing a overly rich fuel mixture resulting in missing and stalling. When I checked the sensor myself per Bentley it checked out. It was only through the use of Darrell Boehler's Digifant Tool which allows sensor monitoring while the engine is running and under load that the bum sensor revealed itself. If you're interested, I have a new Temp II Sensor with O-ring I bought a year ago for around $10- that I can't use because Syncros use a slightly different one. Good luck!
