Talk about rusty memories... I used to own a '78 Bus with a Country Homes conversion - seems to me it was also a straight-up type pop-top. I believe the Vanagon was the same type. Country Homes was in Los Altos, CA.

Folks,

A recent submission to vanagon.com featured a Vanagon with a pop-top that goes straight up. (See http://www.vanagon.com/info/accessories//inexpensive-awning/ for photos.)

I've seen these pop-tops on pre-1980 busses, but never on Vanagons. Does anyone know who manufactured this conversion?
