Check out Gene Bergs Web page and other T1 web sites. Look in the Hot VW mags. Three is a 2.5 L kit for the Wasserboxer with the STOCK FI setup. T4 engine can go to 3.1L and STILL live well over 100,000 miles... IF ALL the weak areas are addressed, the engine can live a long life. I do not have to exceed 4600 RPMs with my engine to get to 55. It all depends on how it was built: as a well thought out package or add a few parts and hope it works... Robert |
