Ken, The Subaru XT 2.5L flat six is over ten years old, and are fairly common in the yards. They aren't really a good match for the Vanagon. If you want some serious power, see if you can find the 3.3L flat six out of a Suby SVX. They are hard to find, but produce 220HP and 228ft/lbs. Put one of these in your Vanagon and you might even be able to keep up with the Lilleyvan! 8o} Larry |
