Hi Jeff, Both are similar to the Bosch L-Jetronic. The digifant has maps (software arrays) to control the ignition advance. It also has an internal coil driver. The former is good, the latter is not so good as it sometimes generates more heat than the ecu can reliably dissipate. The excess digifant heat causes bad solder connections.
