Sorry, Eric, but you seem to equate being a rude jerk with success and
working hard. Sure, I agree that the "language protocols" idea was a loopy
one and the people on this list have spoken out on the issue. But they shot
down the idea without attacking the man. You, on the other hand, went
immediately to the personal. You were simply wrong to do this. Civility is
important. And rather than being a form of sell out, it actually furthers
your chances of getting your ideas across. People stop listening to your
ideas when you attack them personally. Don't you when attacked?
