Ummm, Rounded off a nut, frustrating, try to get at the rounded off nuts BEHIND the engine on the exhaust of a 16V GTI and you really know frustration. If you round off a nut, and can't get it off, use a nice sharp chissel or nut cracker, whichever is appropriate to your space, and BREAK THE MUTHA in half. No more problem. Take it a bit easy so as not to damage the BOLT threads. YMMV.

Rounded off one of my lug nuts whilst trying to get a look at my squealing rear brakes! It's pretty badly rounded. Are there any tricks y'all could teach me about this sort of thing? Thanks a million, Chris http://www.geocities.com/Athens/9860/bus.html |
