Brad, Look under your inst. pod to see if you have enough fluid. The clutch feeds off a level just below the thick plastic seam on the res. Could be either master or slave clutch cyl. For some reason my '82 has gone through a slave every 3 or so years since new. Seems to be a low spot which holds moisure compared to the other cyl. in the system. Just replaced my master for the first time since van bought new in 1982. Was not corroded, just worn after 18 years of use. If your master is gone you would probably be smelling fluid in the front leaking onto your carpet etc. The slave is hard to see but is above the tranny/bell housing and would likely be leaking if bad. Van-again just notified the list of a deal on clutch master cyl. Just after I bought one full price .... of course! A good deal none-the-less. Good luck, George Lehman Superior, Wisconsin
