I busted a triple flat on broken glass outside of Aspen last summer. I got two of the wheels off and brought them to the only service station I could find on my skateboard, where I matched up some old tires that could get me to a town that sells vanagon tires. The third wheel would not come off. I bent 2 metric and 1standard 4-ways (as they call them out there) and it wouldn't budge. Eventually I ended up hammering on the smaller metric size of a snap-on socket wrench attached to a four foot steel pipe, with my jumping up and down on the end of it, holding on to the roof. when it finally busted free, it creaked so loudly it hurt my ears and echoed in the mountains. Temporarily fixing my van only cost me about $50 (for three crappy tires) .... it was the night at Aspen bars that cost the big bucks. If you can avoid breaking down Aspen, do so at all costs.
