Vinnie has new fuel lines (within 1.5 years) so I'm not too worried; but, with all the talk about the importance of maintaining/replacing the fuel lines etc., I'm surprised that we aren't talking about relocating the majority of the lines to reside somewhere <bold>besides</bold> the engine compartment where the main ignition source (heat) resides. What I'm thinking is to relocate the fuel pressure regulator, send lines, return lines, etc. to <underline>underneath</underline> the van well <underline>ahead</underline> of the engine compartment. That way the only lines "in " the compartment would be for a <italic>very short</italic> run to the fuel injector rails. In the event of a leak we would smell fuel much sooner than we would see fuel (as in burning). Am I missing something? Do the length of the lines have anything to do with the pressure? Am I wrong in thinking that the pressure is generated by the pump and regulated by the regulator but would have little to do with the length of the lines? Later,
