Dear Brent, Been there, done that. Don't bother with a drum scanner -- the scratches on the fiche will read as data (I actually tried this). What you need is "soft" lighting from behind -- just like a fiche! (or light table for that matter) Frankly, photographing the screen of a fiche reader would be cheaper and provide a more-readable result. Another possiblity is using an EXTREME closeup lens, with bellows, to photograph each "page" separately. Cheers, MJS
